IMPACT THIS DECADE

MIT, ACTIVATED

A campus-wide engagement event

We imagine a world where collaborative effort across sectors leads to innovative solutions that can short-circuit traditional development and adoption timelines. Where clearly conveying the idea, the actions required, and scaling potential through vivid storytelling is critical but not sufficient. We must put ideas in action. Our anchor event will bring the best and brightest innovators to Boston to activate the MIT campus across three venues: CSAIL Stata Center, the new MIT Museum, and MIT Sloan School of Business. MIT Faculty advisors Daniela Rus, Yet-Ming Chiang, John E. Fernández, and Andrew Lo have joined a special Advisory Board to create a connective tissue across campus.

the program

what's at stake?

We are in a decisive moment for humanity. The decisions we make now are crucial for the future of our species on the planet. No single institution, organization, or government can implement the sheer scale and scope of innovations needed and the supporting financial and systemic changes required for a resilient, thriving future.

Acting across society and integrating silos is critical to accelerate solutions. that can scale. Our vision is to bring together a diverse audience that spans generations, attract speakers with world-changing ideas, and build a global ecosystem to advance real solutions.

Ideas that can scale.
Compelling storytelling.
