About this Video
2017 TEDxBeaconStreet Interview with Olle Ljungqvist.
Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) is a new way for hospitals to work to reduce complications and hospital stay by 30-50% and save cost. ERAS breaks the stubborn silos of hospital departments; it enacts best practices and places the individual patient and his needs at the center of all medical decisions. This talk describes the transformative results all over the world – ones that would be worth billions if they were supplied by a pill. But the killer ingredient in ERAS is far from medicinal … it’s profoundly human
