Angelina Botticelli

Singer-Songwriter & Community Organizer, 2021 Rising Tides Fellow, Eureka Ensemble

Raised in East Boston, 19-year-old artist-activist Angelina Botticelli combines her music-making with a passion for creative discovery and civic engagement. From a very young age, she has been an active community member, multi-instrumental musician, producer, organizer, and motivated student leader. Through her participation and leadership roles at Boston-based organizations like ZUMIX, Berklee City Music, and Yes Fest, Angelina regularly performs and organizes events around her community focused on storytelling, self-expression, and the importance of arts education for young people. In addition to events and performances, Angelina is also a radio host. Her hit radio show “Bad Gal Radio” focuses on storytelling, as well as pop culture and community-based news, providing a safe space for predominantly marginalized identities to express themselves. The show has been running since 2015 and has featured many local artists, organizers, and community members who inspire Angelina. Angelina has also gained over 1 million streams for her songwriting and lead vocals on Emotions, an EP put out by the Boston-based band “Wild Painting.” Most recently, she released the song Electric, under the name Angel Nrg, and is planning to release more under the name in the future. A recent graduate of Boston Arts Academy, Angelina is a full-time student at Berklee College of Music where she is studying voice and working as a mentor with Berklee City Music. She aspires to continue using her voice for strong positive change.
