The history of hip hop at TEDxYouth@BeaconStreet | Snap Boogie

Art comes in many different forms. For Snap Boogie, art is the intersection of smooth rhythms, culture and gravity-defying dance moves. Inspired by hip hop as a kid, Snap Boogie honed his craft and is now a member of The Floorlords, Boston’s longest standing b-boy and b-girl crew with a rich 30 year history. They travel the country wowing crowds with their performances, and they’ve won numerous national and international competitions. Throughout the crew’s history, The Floorlords have shared the stage with names such as Jennifer Lopez, 50 Cent and Run DMC.

At TEDxBeaconStreet, Snap Boogie and his crew illustrate the history of hip hop with their bodies—when words won’t do it justice, movement and music are all they’ve got.
