Performance preview: Acclaimed jazz musician Grace Kelly
20-year-old jazz singer, saxophonist Grace Kelly to perform at TEDxBeaconStreet
Best National Jazz Act 2012, Jazz Artist of the Year, Alto Saxophone Rising Star and more…awards and acclaim have greeted Grace Kelly from the start.
A natural and gifted musician, at 14 she was invited to perform at Symphony Hall with the Boston Pops and played her original composition and arrangement with the full orchestra. With seven full-length solo albums already to her credit and more than 500 concerts played worldwide, she recently graduated from Berklee College of Music at 19 and now teaches residency workshops there.
Her goal? “To stay in jazz but also do different things, bigger arrangements, like Stevie Wonder and George Benson.” We’re thrilled that TEDxBeaconStreet attendees will have a chance to see this world-class musician on the rise.
“Grace Kelly plays with intelligence, wit and feeling. She has a great amount of natural ability and the ability to adapt that is the hallmark of a first-class jazz musician.”
